The Vette owner, Lance, staggers back into the shack and wakes up his recent acquaintance, Curtis, the waiter wanting the ride in his Vette. He asks Curtis if he knows where they are, but Curtis is still too groggy from the previous night to think. After some further discussions, and time for both of them to collect themselves, they step out into the sunlight and are greeted with a big surprize. Standing out in front of the shack are a group of strange, but familiar looking creatures. The big yellow one seems to be the leader as he commands his underlings to attention. He greets Lance and Curtis in a very friendly and unthreatening tone. He tells them he is very pleased with both of them. He apologizes to Lance for losing his suit jacket and ruining his shirt. He explains it by saying, 'accidents will happen'. He and his associates have learned a lot about the human species from their studies of Lance and Curtis. So much so, they have decided to break old protocols. The leader tells the earthlings that he has begun reversing the mind erasure process usually used with parties of interest and have decided to reveal themselves to these two instead of letting the mind erasure take full effect. The leader says he is rewarding the earthlings for their cooperation the previous nights examinations onboard the space ship. Huge amounts of information was learned about the human species. From those results, the leader was able to implement certain genetic enhancements to both of the guys. He tells them they should begin to understand more complex scientific problems more easily as well as any other academic pursuits that might interest them. They will find themselves more tolerant and understanding of the shortcomings of their fellow human beings and will be able to come up with solutions that will help their entire race, if they care to try. Also, certain parts of their anatomy have been enhanced for strength and greater durability. If they take reasonable care of their bodies, they can expect to live an extra hundred years, with reasonable health and clarity of mind. Finally, the leader says he was very intrigued by yellow car. He likes the design. However, he has noticed certain flaws in it's overall construction that he and his associates have improved upon. The body and undercarriage have had their materials reconfigured with more durable molecular elements giving the car incredible strength and durability. The tires have been reconfigured as well but with no noticable difference in appearance. A new computer was installed to control all the other extra functions installed on the vehicle. Finally, noting the gross inefficiencies of the powerplant on this vehicle, they have installed a nuclear fusion power propulsion unit that should easily last a couple hundred years. The leader felt from what he has learned probing the mind of the Lance, that these enhancements should meet with positive approval. Of course, power being an issue with this car, he points out that it will easily be able to run circles around any current vehicle in existance on the planet. Just a final parting gift gratis of the leader. As our two mystified young men stand in stupified awe of these creatures messages, the leader turns toward their spacecraft and calmly marches his associates back to it. They just seem to vanish into thin air, since no entry point is seen. The leader leaves a final mental message to both of the guys. 'What you saw us as came from a mental image we picked up in Curtis' that he seems to find most enjoyable. In reality, we can assume any shape we choose that we feel will be most acceptable to who we examining. Since the two of you have delighted us with your mental transfers to our knowlege base, we chose to reciprocate with the rewards we told you about.
