Description

It has been a week since Noria went to live with the humans. Vicki is off running errands for the elders. Back at the polished stone region, Bambi kneels while Aiko, Zlata & Sarina quietly look on. In front of Bambi, are two roses... Bambi: Where did these roses come from? Who sent them? Zlata: Noria sent them. She asked me to pass on a message to you. Bambi: What could she possibly tell me that I don't already know? She's gone away and won't be coming back! Why did she leave? Aiko: That's what we're trying to tell you, Bambi. She sent those roses to let you know that she won't be gone that long, only a few years. It seems that her mother had made a promise to the humans before you were born that her first-born female would go to the humans to learn their ways. Bambi had just learned about the promise a few days before she left, she never had time to tell you. Sarina: In turn, the humans will be sending one of their own females to live with us for the same amount of time to learn our ways. Zlata: (interrupting) sort of a cultural exchange pact! Sarina: Yes, something like that. It's a pact we fae and the humans made centuries ago. I just learned the details from the elders just yesterday. Bambi: (sniffling) So Noria will be coming back soon? Aiko: Yes, she will. And she'll be bringing us new ideas and concepts that we can use to help the fae and the humans. Zlata: Just think, Bambi, Noria's not gone forever like you thought, she's doing something very important to help all of us! Bambi: Oh!
