Description

Well something a bit different today.. I find with learning new techniques/experimenting that I tend to alternate between spending lots of time playing with the camera or lots of time messing with my pics trying to improve my postwork skills... I'm definitely not such a purist that I think there's anything wrong particularly with mixing media and combining images and ideas as to me, it's always the finished image which matters. It's something I'd like to get a bit better with so I can get a bit more complex than this simple upload. The 'portrait' side of it was deliberately underexposed using too fast a shutter speed (for 'normal' exposure) and strong available light through a nearby window. The flames are a merge of a couple of photos of the fire I had in my room the other evening... do you see the face/mask/guardian in the flames? I almost titled this one 'Face-Off' =) .. and you may recognize the 'model' as Kiryl, who's featured a couple of times in my gallery so far... actually at the time he was screaming along to some pretty fast-paced hard rock but the expression I thought was universal enough to use for other things... Today I choose to denounce ratings as I don't really feel they're that meaningful and it'll be one less thing to do for those who choose to comment. Do please excuse me if I'm not able to be on here much in the coming weeks... this month more than most I feel I kinda should be posting, but it also happens to be a very important and busy time academically for me, and I've also got the 60th birthdays of two close relatives coming shortly! So, yeah enough of my rabbiting on, hope you like the shot and have a great evening! Adam

I like what you done here tones nicely macthed together. I would like to see a fire flaring up thou, I have a feeling some unseen force blocks a fire in this vertical line...but this is just me.
