Fascinating expressionism. Maybe this is inspired by the Norwigan expressionist Evard Munch.? In 1893 Munch painted "The Scream". I think this is a brilliant piece of expressionism, too. Wonderful VUE interpretation of The Scream.+5

very simple & yet very mysterious. I have to say, for me it looks like as much like a smile as a scream; or like one of those old theater masks, this one being the happy kind. But I can see a scream: Maybe it's frozen in time, like a scream held for the ages. I like the simplicity of that rock-like mask, sitting on a pedestal (and I love the leaves & rocks/bricks painted on the pedestal, kind of dripping on it). And it's surrounded by a mythic background, like the beginning of a deep dark tragedy (like "King Lear" in English), and we see this image as a symbol of the whole tragedy. People would say that to make such an image is, itself, an act of affirmation, that it's a "no" to the scream itself: And I feel that from this image. There's something affirmative about it, even though it's a scream. Simple, mythic and very strong. Your hues are also unified & fit the concept you're after. Very simple & sensitive work, Ana.
