Description

5/16/2008 Night of the Durham Bulls (New Home Team) vs. the Toledo Mud Hens (Old Home Team). One of those nights where you just wished for a good games, and that the asteroid hold off for one more evening...and you weren't disappointed. I love the old in the foreground highlighting the ultra-new in the background. I'm glad Durham saved this view. I'm hoping to catch more of this architecture before it goes the way of the Dodo. It was my first real night out with my new Cannon EOS 30D, and I was finally making the transition from my old reliable Minolta X-700. Not bad for no tri/monopod, and not yet understanding your system. Thanks Barbara for dragging me out to the game. Eventually I'll learn how to make a "thumbnail" for my pictures. As always, image is copyright "DarkPhenyx Photography", all rights reserved, blah, blah, blah...a pox on your house if you steal it to make money. Looking at this I just realized...it's almost 4 years to the day since I first joined the site and I am only now making my first submission. Damn...what a slacker.

Very cool shoot. I like the feel of it; moody, somewhat nostalgic, and very urban.
