Renderosity has opened a whole new world to me, its a fantastic place and have had some brilliant support from many new friends.  I retired from work very early through ill health so I took to photography from the very basics.
Since joining I have grown in confidence with my photography and I now think because of RR that I take it a little more seriously. I started off here using a Fuji Finepix 6500fd, it took some great pictures but I'm hooked now so I have now(April 2008) bought a DSLR SAMSUNG DX10 and having fun learning the settings etc. ( these things take me a while lol)ÂÂ
I am so fortunate to be with a wonderful person in my life, Sylvia. She is not just my partner but of course she's also my best friend. Previously I have been married but seperated a few years ago and have two fantastic children. I NOW have two fantastic grandchildren !!!
My interests are photography, i have had a dabble at Acrylic painting, and I enjoy long walks out in the countryside.      I also have an interest in anything historical.  I want to have a sample of just about everything there is in photography, who knows what the future holds!
Thanks for calling by.    Alan

It breaks my heart that I cannot have a brew in the pub. I did see a pub, yeah? (It's been a while since I was in Britain.)
artaddict2
The pub is called Merlins Cave !

Excellent scene here nicely captured for us. This scene looks very familiar to me...just can't recall the old BBC TV series name but it had Emma Peale (sp?) in it and this town was used as I recall...some skull duggery going on with the town's people and their museum, etc. Recall any of that? Bill
artaddict2
Bill...Emma peel was in a TV series long time ago 60's early 70's called "THE AVENGERS", I didn't know that they shot it here!

Really archetypal view here, Alan! I've not been to Bucks. This is just the sort of weather for a pub lunch, you've got me interested now!

What year did you take this Alan, reason I ask is because the sun is out and the ground looks dry. Lol. Quite a typical sort of view for lots of English Villages, a couple of shops and a pub. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

I have spent more time on the English mainland this year than any other time and adore some of the beautiful village settings. A superb capture. I am now quite partial to Lincolnshire but indeed Buckinghamshire looks pleasant.

I am very taken with those chimneys - so tall and varied. I love the look of this cluster of brick buildings.
