A purely technical image...
I got to wondering just how physically accurate Vue 7 Infinite's light calculations really are.
Based on the look of their great Spectral Atmospheres, I though the developers must have done a pretty darn accurate job of modeling light and atmospheric optics.
So, I figured I'd model a virtual glass lens and see if I could get it to virtually focus a virtual image inside a virtual scene!
It worked! Way to go e-on!
The distortion could prolly be fixed if I carefully perfected the shape of my lens model (made in Silo 3d).
The "chromatic aberration" (colors) I added for effect - they are mine, not e-on's.

Is this a free Try out version of Vue or did you buy the program...

By the way, the next step would be to make working telescopes, microscopes, etc. (I once saw a hologram of a microscope you could actually look into). I leave that as an exercise for the student - for extra credit even.

Should work either way - but this is the retail version.
