Description

This is another in my series showing the USS Intrepid over Mars northern polar cap. This model was created from scratch in Bryce 5, all concepts and designs by me. I have had a lot of comments about my work ranging from textures on my models, gray shadows, background starfields, planet atmospheres and planets themselves. First let me start by saying I really enjoy all the comments about my work. I do appreciate the time people take to make comments on my images. Comment #1: Why do you not use textures to make your models more interesting? Answer: I try to use textures that I feel will give my models a realistic view. I have recently been working on my own textures for my models and believe me, when you

Look at all those parts! I'd go nuts with a model like that. Good job. Tip: If the dark gray shadows bother you, you could do a mask render and use that as a guide for where the star field goes.

This is awesome David. Go for the realism and stick to to your guns. Guess you must have more than 1 'puter. One for the long renders and another to work on.

Spectacular as usual. I wonder though if there are still too many stars in the background due to the reflective Mars surface and the Sun? Man, you rock!

You know I was just browsing through to see what was new and all the artist different work and I saw this last night but I just book marked it in my mind to check out later. Well It's later and my god man it was worth it! This is really beautiful work I'm new to this CGI modeling and textures and all the lingo, but I've done my fare share of drawings and I know a Beautiful piece of work and love for it when I see it and MAN this is it! Your attention to detail and realism is obviouse and with anything you love its NEVER easy. like with all the work I find here that stands out for me I must ask with your promition can I put your work on my file sharing machine KaZaA? I would of course put you as artist and your address to your gallery link so others who have seen this piece can come for themselves to see all your work. My E-Mail address is zhaanlover2@hotmail.com please let me know if this is ok.

Okay I read your statement above, if not I would have asked comment2# but now I think you'll find a solution soon. I was just looking for something new and I saw this model. Your model of a mission ship to mars. I like this very detailed starship cause I think it looks like a ship have to look like if we talk about a mission to mars in the nearest future.... so in this sense very realistic !!

Remarkable modeling and a wonderful image. The effort you must have put into creating the ship has really paid off.
