Description

It is hard to get a sense of scale from this image, but that turkey buzzard was floating way up there on the updrafts. The clouds were some type of stratus or cirrus variety and were much higher. All in all it was quite dramatic, and hard to fit the granduer of the scene into just one frame.

At first, it looked like the wake from a speed boat. Now I can see it is the clouds. That buzzard sure looks lonely all alone. Nice capture. Aloha

Love the clouds! Wispy & feather-like...hmmm almost symbolic with the bird flyin' thru! Btw, the IR DOES add to the drama. Also brings out alot of detail!

That was my second thought. My first thought, now refined as third--lose the comment, tell no one what it is as an artifact of your own personal "fact" that will not as an image express, and title it "Surf City". In turning the universe upside down with those two words one makes it more real.

Are you sure it's not a very aged, and now white haired Repunzel who has let her hair down and into the wind? Very dramatic shot! : )

Makes me wish I had a set of wings and go surfin' the up drafts as well ! The back-lit wings really make the buzzard stand out, which is lucky, otherwise it would very hard to see, neat formations and IR ! ~Cheers~

Without the bird it would've been a great abstraction. Love it.
