Description

Only attempt to create a sand dunes... Surfaces and atmosphere are created with Volumetrics plugin by Dmytry Lavrov. Postwork in Photoshop. Moon "Umbre" by Octaganoid (Mojo free stuff). Special thanks to Woz for help and photomaterial ;) Thanks for viewing and comments!

Thats quite a cool sand mat Alex. Im guessing you used repeat in the curve?! Youd have thought those photos were alien :) You may try changing the mats for the rocks so that the same tone is used for the sand as is ued in the latter rock mat or doing a blend so it looks like the sand has settled on some areas?! Have you thought about pulling SineCity into this as another Iso...just to see what the results are?! Perhaps it just needs a new type of city like in star wars movie on tatooine?! Good result. I think it can progress further though IMHO :)

Excellent work! My only suggestion would be to use a more wave-shaped profile - they look more like ruts than sand dunes, IMO.

Looks like Woz has some cool ideas... this image is very cool...I like the surface lines... they create a perspective and depth...the mist is also superb....excellent work!

Nice combinations of low ground and rock. I think it is difficult to judge the scale of the sand material and it's forms. Is this ripples or is it dunes because the hills look quite big and the atmo suggests that as well? My opinion is that if the ground was altered too look like it had smaller features then the scale of the world would seem bigger. Cool work as usual though.
