Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

WOW! I love this picture! The light is perfect and yeah, it DOES pay to get up early if you have your camera! I love the golden light and the different shades in the water. In short, this is awesome, and I love the fact that the whole composition invites the eye to wander.

I think these legs should be on the Golden Gate, lol. As you say it sure does pay to be up early, unfortunately not in my case, not for the last four times anyhow. I got up early to go out for sunrise, no sunrise, well there was a sunrise but it was covered by the clouds. We had good weather forecasts as well, so that really peed me off. It paid dividends in your case though Marylin, and excellent capture well worth the early rise. Bravo!!!!!

Oh, I thought you were referring to Betty Grable :( Excellent golden and orange colors in this early morning capture, Marilyn! Those supports resemble oars from old Roman galleys.
