Great idea hnad composition. Basicaly, I meet some difficulties with balance between the yellow light from the sun, and the blue going to green of the sky. It seems you have the same point here. That makes, in my humble opinion, your picture less powerfull.

Fine image. Very little difference between brightness of sun and sky, and trees in foreground. That's not a naturalistic treatment, but it does make a lovely picture. Spots of fog in the lowland is a very nice touch. Colors? I could nitpick, but that depends on where you intended to be on the abstract/naturalistic continuum, and other considerations.
