When grandpa was around
Mom spoke a lot of Danish
Dad insisted on English
Personally, only English he knew
Did not want to learn
Only two understood
Since it was not taught
Me I think
Confused the both
Riddles of words
Not understanding a bit
But how it was seen
In the mind but could not speak
The pictures that drew
Hands sounded out
The eyes how they tattled
