Description
The Sylmar Fire that started at 10:35pm last night quickly spread and attacked several points on the electric grid that supplies power to LA. The winds last night reached gusts of up to 75 mph. By midday, the winds calmed slightly, but by mid-afternoon they picked up again. This shot was taken facing west and the original fire had spread deeper into the canyons behind me. The smoke was growing thick again and started blotting out the sun.
