This image needs some explaination... When I was a kid, I had the privilege to live in a small town called "Torre dei Passeri" (sparrow's tower, literally); this gave me the opportunity to move around almost freely, making new discoveries. With my friends, one day we discovered this strange place... probably, an abandoned open-sky cave. To you this place may appear not interesting nor funny, but in our children's fantasy this was an amazing canyon and we decided to establish our "headquarter" in a small cove inside the hill placed atop in this picture. Two days ago, I felt strong sensations and reminiscences when I returned there after more than 3 decades... Technically, this is a 360° stitch of 18 pictures, where upper row (the sky) was exposed differently from terrain in order to appreciate details in both; original mosaic exceed 80 Mpixel. As usual, polar projection of the stitch is made using PovRay code (cylindrical projection of a texture on a sphere).
