Description

means roughtly in English "let the good times roll" I was at the cafe de amis which on Saturdays you can go and hear a live Zydeco band. You pay $4 to get in and if you eat breakfast there the cafe will take off the cost you paid to get into the door.[from 8:30 to 10 AM] Super fun if you love that music and danceing. Some people out of state say the danceing is a little diff in each place they go but it easy to go with the flow. No line danceing here and not a real two stepper also. So just go with the flow. I do not dance but love to see people dance and have a good time. I have fun takeing photos. So if you come around my neck of the world pleace do call me and we go and have fun. Lot of things happening around here I just missed the Highland games of louisiana[that Scottishstuff like thowing a log around end over end] Maybe next year.Oh that was in Jackson. but here you see the man playing a rub board. Freinds and me walked next door and saw some in the window at this antique place and they asking for $200 for one lol You all have fun and remember you live only once. so come alive and move around

I love how they make the old rub boards that hook over the head and shoulders Jocko, I used to pinch my mothers wooden one and her thimbles for sewing. $200 seems quite a sum for something that used to be thrown away because of getting an electric washing machine. Even the tea chests that were used for the one string bass cost a fortune now. Excellent capture, shows the swing, I can feel the music humming. Bravo!!!!!

Fantastic shot, Jock. Cool that the image show, how fast he move his arms on the rub board. I always found it to be a great instrument. It add a cool rhytmic touct to the music. It also spread smiles and joy. Rub bord players often smile..and that is very contagious. Nice portraying of a happy instrument and place.+5
