Description

This image is from the archives. I managed to save a rather dull and unusable photo using our trusted new friend - Topaz. I caught this breading herd on the run in the Kruger National Park a couple of seasons ago. It was late afternoon so I guess they were probably on their way to a watering hole and didn't cross the road more than 10 meters in front of us. Exhilarating!! It is not the same herd I placed a couple of months ago nor was the image taken on the same visit. I rather like the slight movement in the image to illustrate their haste. (Image taken with 35mm film and scanned.) Thank you for clicking in and for your very valued comments and favs on my "Cathing the Sun" image which I have placed last night. Hugs, Carin xx

nicely done Carin, the slight sense of movement adds a bit of intensity to the capture, makes me more aware of how you need to be on your toes when near to such large animals which could decide to run your way at any point!

Great capture Carin. I like the the slurred right leg indicating movement. Kind of close weren't you? What if they turned in your direction?
