Description

We're taking a few steps to our right, as if we are going to walk to the split path! From this position on the bridge, we can see that there are several sets of mini-rapids and that their song is just as sweet. we also notice that there are more stepping stones than we thought were there. If a person were sure-footed, they could traverse the stream on the stones themselves rather than rely on the paths. But the damp moss would make life just a bit interesting, if not dangerous. The idea of being carted out on a stretcher because we twisted or broke an ankle just doesn't appeal to me. Nor should it you. A slight warm breeze gently stirs our hair and brings to our nose scents of fir trees and other plants as well as the just-washed air that is present around living streams as this one. Looking at the banks upstream, we can almost see the fae resting on them, watching the little ones playing around in and on the water. The younger flying fae are still playing tag with each other and the insects that dart about. There's the sound of songbirds in the trees, singing their joyous songs to any and all who will listen. With our backs still to the falls, the roaring song is somewhat muted but it provides the bass for the riversong that we hear today on this bridge. We haven't seen too many people today who aren't in our group and in a way that is nice, for we can concentrate on the views provided us without interruption. It is unknown at this moment, whether or not we will meet any more fae on our journey. It would be nice but they have their lives as we have ours. Again, we must be respectful in this area as we are being watched. I really don't relish meeting the fae for reasons that are not pleasant because we did something wrong or discourteous. Have a great week and big thank you to all who have stayed with me on this journey Mike
