My day-time job consists of Design and Illustration for commercial printing for the past 35 years, I started at the age of 15, doing Illustration for screen printing. I do all my creation work in Carrara 3 and export Objects to poser for use there. I started doing 3D with Adobe Dimentions 1.0 and poser 1.0. I switched to Corel's Dream 3d when I had the chance and forgot about poser until I received a notice that I could upgrade from from 1 to 5, which caught my interest. I do take requests and can be contacted here or by email mappsman@hotmail.com.

I don't have that problem but I use RayTrace and for glass about 10% reflection is all. Getting colors or bumps is a hassle though, especially bumps. This is in Poser. Bryce? Ok never mind, Carrara, there is a place to do reflections and transparencies and translucencies and caustics and... did I leave something out? Yes, not figures unless you have high end plug compatibles like Vue, Max and Cinema4D.

This is in poser 7, in Carrara it is no problem at all :-)

Looks great...most of the time if I try using the raytracer in poser 6 it gives me a message that I don't have enough memory...I do have enough but my pc can't read it..

Nice lookin props! I see what you mean (glass)hard to get right with poser. Im curious to see how you work this out!

Boy those props would go good in a lot of different type scene. I can see an old alchemist at work trying to turn base metal into gold or a scene from a modern day pharmacist shop! Great work!

Know what you mean about the poser Glass... Beautiful job so far!! Just be careful.... this time period had a habit of Prosecuting people as Witches for dabbling in the sciences....LOL

Beautiful composition! Sometimes I wonder, what I could do in my life if not setting up and rendering and rerendering for hours and hours ...
TheAnimaGemini
Another wonderful idea. But i agree with Poser and glass...i pull out every time my hair..it needs hours and the result is most of the time poor. But how i can see, you find the perfect mix. Beautiful set so far.

Unfortunatly I do not know Poser. In DAZ Studio I have been using Refraction with only a touch of Reflection for the primary for glass and have had some very nice success.

I love this new set - the old fashioned blue glass a rare treat. Great job Mike, and thanks for thinking about us on the render side too, such consideration is really exemplary.
