Description

I created this little ComStation model a while back and thought I would share it, so it's now available in my free stuff as a Vue object file. It's kind of a badlands payphone of sorts, but you can certainly use it in your Vue scenes for whatever you want ;) Other than the cables that were made in Modo, it's entirely created in Vue using VueTools. Textures were built in Photoshop and applied to the individual objects inside of Vue without UV mapping making for a really quick and dirty model. Thanks for looking!

Great scene! I especially like the landscape and the DOF. The comm station is nicely done, too.

Great scene, you really captured that desolate feeling. I love the dirt you put on the truck and ComStation. Excellent!

Wow Jacob, your a chip off Chipps old block with that cool modelling in Vue, awesome freebie my man. Are most of your models done in Vue and possibly with Chipps tools. (edit) Forgot to say something about the render itself, Doh. Superb render and top notch job, the DoF is very cool and really adds to the overall feeling of realism, and her pose is first class.

Thanks again everyone and hope you can make use of my little freebie. Chris: You're correct. Most everything I model is done inside of Vue using VueTools. I just love how quickly one can pull an object like this together without having to use an outside modeler. Ok, I did cheat on the cables, but if one was patient enough you could make those in Vue as well ;)

"Uhmm . . . Hunnie? Hi! Yeah, you know when you said to check the hydro-cell one last time before heading out? Well, I got distracted and . . . it's outta water . . .! Why else would I be using a land-line . . .? Oh, DON'T start! That was a WHILE ago! Hey, who controls the nookie? That's what I THOUGHT, now get here before the buzzards pick your wife's bones clean. Then it's DEFINITELY no nookie for you . . .! Well I have the mamms, so I always WIN! You got me on the tracker . . .? The Tilt-Rotor? Then there WILL be a reward for getting here so fast . . .! I love you too, Baby!"

Wicked freebie many thanks! Freebie aside, this is a great image - nice pov and sense of scale. It certainly looks desolate.
