Description

For the 2nd year Chevrolet took the term "hardtop" to the extreme designing a metal roof that closely resembled a canvas, convertible top. Quite stylish -- and exclusive, as far as i know no other GM car presented such a styling cue. The square roof, the "twin-pod" rear panel, the sharp, pointed sides, even the snug headlights -- one can't help but remember the 61 T'Bird. Maybe that was the intention. The Chevy was cheaper but loaded with flair. Thanks for watching.

Talk about devastating markups, this one has everything!! It's telling me I have too much forehead above my eyes. Maybe that is because I have never seen a 63 and am drawing from some body work I did on a 64. I will now go look at some pictures to move me from 1977 to 2008 and from 1964 metal to 1963.

Superb model that brings back memories! My older brother had one of these, same color, though it was his first car and not quite as pristine a condition as your example. I love "visiting" your virtual garage.

I was sure the 1963 Impala only had 4 lights in the back (2 sets) noevermind that anyway, it is a gorgeous image. An as always very well modeled(; I am still waiting on the 1970 Chevelle SS 396 hotrod :D
