Description

The Sd. Kfz. 251. Not the prettiest military vehicle but I like it. Sd. Kfz. 251 from DMI textures by me. Apollo Max figure. PAK 40 free at vanishing point. All comments and advice welcome. Thanks for looking. Emil.

Great image, but you should maybe add some dust?

Like this a lot...like all armored vehicles a lot. Having been a tank platoon leader and company commander in the desert...RO2005 is right of course. Billowing dust was the norm. Tracked vehicles pulverize sand into a talcum powder like substance that gets in everything. Engine air cleaners require lots of maintenance. Bill

You're a very good Vue user: atmospheres, lighting, speed and mouving impression... I need lessons!

WOW, first off, the textures are very good. I have never seen a military vehicle used here at Rendo that actually had something realistic. Second, and this is a HUGE second, the motion blurring. Absolutely realistic. You have done a great work here. I agree with the dust though. But that's what critical comments are for, to help us all with an extra set of eyes.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I did have a go at dust but it looked terrible so anyone with advice on that or a tutorial it would be most welcome. Some more armour coming up next :)

i sgree, impressive, good sense of movement also. the looks as if they just had a bit of rain, which would keep the dust down.

I think it's a tremendous vehicle - like most of the German WII hardware. Great impression of speed.

I think Hanomags are great halftracks..speed effect looks good, but would have gone for a real camo texture.. Overall though a great pic.

Highly dramatic scene due to the extremely realistic speed effects. Looks like they've got the desert rats with a bunch of tanks on their butt :-). Great one.

It comes from a well designed family of halftracks that the Czechs continued to manufacture until 1960. Your render does it justice. Yes, it owuld have been kicking up dust, but then we wouldn't see the towed PAK as well.
