Villa Escudero is a Working coconut plantation Founded 1800..In 1980 The escudero family opened the plantation to the general public.Since then Villa Escudero has developed a worldwide reputation as a focal point to Experiance Philippines Culture and History in a beautiful rural setting.. Marvelous picture! I didn't realize how strong water buffalo are! and what a perfect name for her, LOL! this is an amazing picture, and interesting history too. I'm so enjoying the tour of the Philipines!!

This brings to mind the earliest incarnation of streetcars which were largely horse drawn carts not too unlike this one. Minus the rubber tires and carabao of coarse. Though, the carabao seems more suited for this sort of job than horses.

This is a very nice shot Minda, well composed and representative of tourist activity in this wonderful environment. The poor carabao has a hard work to pull this heavy cart loaded with so many people.
