Description

Since discovering Jim Fitzpatrick's amazing work earlier in the year on a trip to Ireland I really wanted to try a celtic knotwork inspired image. It's very hard. Still trying to get my head round it all and how easy it will be in Illustrator or should I go the Wacom route. So, this is my first test piece to see what it looks like anyway. UPDATE: I actually showed this to Jim who wrote: Checked it out. I like it. It's original and well executed. jim

I'd really like to see that armor fully textured. The knotwork looks good, and it's a good, complimentary color scheme throughout...and her skin looks fantastically real in an imperfect, truly human, way.

The Celtic knotwork does look good on the background and setting her head against the circle frames her well. As Darklorddc said - seeing how you would translate that onto the armor would be very interesting. I can see how it would be hard to get your head around how to design that.

Interesting artwork and style. I like how the knotwork seems to be a extension of the characters clothing and choice of weapons. I think you're on to something here!
