Description

This is Fialka (a Czech name meaning 'violet'), the Sorceress. Never fear though, she casts only good magic. This is another one of my many projects that I originally started about a year ago when I first got Poser. I decided to go back and finish it. I redid the whole background,added the sparkles, and redid the lighting (which I think I've gotten a tiny bit better with the lighting & casting shadows, hopefully). So I hope you like her and may she bring a little magic into your life :) . Rendered in Poser 7.The only postwork, coloring the eyebrows, was done in Photoshop CS3. Thank you for having a look. As always all comments, good or bad, are most welcome. I appreciate all comments as they help encourage me as well as hopefully help me to get better at using Poser 7 and creating better art. Thank you to all the vendors whose wonderful products I used!

She looks really great in full size view. I just love those purple colors right from her hair, her magic ball, through to the scene. That, my dear, holds this composition together. Looking close I see marvelouos detail on her hair and gown, skillfully rendered indeed. My only critique is that she seems to be not grounded. I think you should put a bend into her toes and set her more firmly on the pedestal. Overall though this is just gorgeous.

Thank you so much for your comments, they mean a lot to me! brewgirlca, thank you for your comment and honesty. Once I was done with the image, I too noticed that she seemed to be floating. I don't like that part. Sometimes I render the character and background separately and put them together (I think that is one that didn't work so well). From now on I will keep in mind where I am placing the character and think of details such as bending the toes or repositioning the feet for a more realistic look. Thanks again :) .
