The color is what strikes me the most here; it's superb! The textures are incredibly inviting. What's best is that this image (even without your small bit of accompanying text) provides food for philosophical contemplation, and the most brilliant element of this photograph is its ambiguity in terms of whether or not we're looking at the subject from one side of a threshold or another.
