Description

On November 6th, DAVER2112 posted an amazing photograph entitled Lightning Strikes I absolutely fell in love with it, and Dave was gracious enough to allow me to use his photograph as reference and inspiration for a painting. This was so much fun! I tried a couple of new techniques, so I learned something while I was painting. Thanks, Dave! :) .......... Created in ArtRage and CS3. Photo used as reference only.

Nicely done. I agree Dave's photo is very inspiring but so is your 2D work. I also thought I was looking at a photograph at first. Cool. Bill

There's Photo Impact that allows you to create lightning strikes... I used to play with it, but I find that program kinda complicated and I use it only for certain operations. Nicely done, Auntie!

This is beautifully done, and I have yet to try anything close to capturing or rendering lightening. I love the sense of color here, and the intensity of the jagged, broken bolts...that's a nicely realistic touch, and the whole thing just stands out as great work!
