I figured I should put sometime up for my bio. Between work and all my other projects/activities, I haven't spent enough time on Renderosity...
Anyway, my background in programming/psychology/ergonomics doesn't provide enough creative expression for me. I had wanted to be a writer (SF/Fantasy) for years (though I realized that I would never be an Orson Scott Card or a Joss Whedon) and love the art here on Renderosity (thought I'm not artistically talented enough to shine in this arena), but finally decided that cartooning (playing with ideas more than words or images) was more my thing. Some of those SF/Fantasy stories I may turn into a comic strip (or graphic novel).

It seems they have the best of both worlds. Wish I was a smiley. :-)

This is awesome! Your statement was well thought of, and to the point. Very clever!

Hm, I don´t think that we need that much violence to be creative, positive emotions and actions can bring up creativity too.

thebasstard, You have a very good point! In fact this statement doesn't match my usual values. Perhaps I've been listening to other too much (such as a fellow I know who feels conflict is inevitable and should not be suppressed and is a strong believer in the military). There is "some" truth to it, but basically I would say it is a matter of balance between positive emotions and actions and negative. Then again, the Taoist philosophy of Yin/Yang suggests that the idea of positive or negative as good or bad is a human idea and that both are needed. Again, balance is the key. My attitude is conflict is a last resort. Always try for a win/win situation before resorting to a win/loose conflict (which often end up being loose/loose situations).
