Description

Since I always seem to be working in the way out future, this one was an interesting study in something a little closer to home. Maybe 20-30 years out with the majority of vehicles on the road some form of electric hybrid designs. Perhaps we even are seeing the earliest or anti-grav/hover vehicles, but they would be rudimentary at best. New, futuristic architecture has sprung up all over the place and is starting to overtake the old, but still must exist in the real world where not everything can be replaced at once. Skyline and billboard freebie by Team Dystopia, greeble blocks by Stonemason, chopper by Dosch Design and all the low-poly vehicles are part of a long running collection and from all over the place. Thanks for looking!

I always enjoy your art. Lots of details in this one! If you don't mind me saying, this render appears to 'be a small model' of a city. Some suggestions for tweaking it: Dark foreground shadow across the bottom. Add a strong, crisp light source, but keep the GI as well. See if removing the DOF helps as typically it's the single biggest contributor to making a scene look small. Check out this site for more info on DOF: http://recedinghairline.co.uk/tutorials/fakemodel/ Consider adding more Haze for distance (or jack up the aerial perspective to something like 20 or 30 (or more!). Perhaps some more 'uneven' textures would help as well as very small elements. Keep up the superb work :-)

A definite touch of cyberpunk sprawl and a highly believable vision of what the City of Lost Angels might look like. The use of 'real world' brands and companies that viewers recognise also lends a very believable edge to your vision!
