Description

Most of the time, people only see the mushroom(s) after they've popped out of the ground and at their fullest glory. I was very lucky in that I've caught several mushrooms bursting on the scene. In this case, I was very low to the ground and about 5 inches away from this little guy as he was making his appearance. Just so you have an idea, he is about 3.5 inches in diameter. Thanks to all of you who commented on my last posting, Lacamas Creek Trail #043. I'm glad that you like it. And that water is not that cold, or at least at the time that I took these photos, it wasn't. The source of this creek is Lacamas Lake about 4 miles away.
