If I look into the background, I have to wonder who Suicided that Green Car? I recall that it was the large automotive companies in the US that killed mass transit in the 40s 'n 50s. It was sad when the trolley tracks were torn up from coast to coast and the auto became king. Green cars are an improvement but not by far. Cool one robo ... and nice to see you post again. :-)

George McGovern prophesied long ago that it was necessary to rebuild the railroads. He was laughed off the stage. Does he get any pleasure being right in retrospect? Only, one suspects, to the degree of being able to laugh at the vast majority of ignoramuses who were and are his "fellow citizens", and most importantly the loudmouthed, supposedly plausible go-go elite that has now, under Bush and Cheney and Clinton and the rest, destroyed whatever was left beyond repair--financially and economically, socially, technologically and otherwise. The paradigm has shifted and American arrogance dances on air. It will be a slow and painful end. But it is much worse than that. The background is a picture of misinvestment, still invested in. Indeed, of a system that knows not how to invest elsewhere, including in its own two legs. Buckminister Fuller's Nine Chains to the Moon has a penetrating essay on Henry Ford, who is, at bottom, the architect of this mess. Automobiles do not cause highways. Highways cause automobiles. That Ford knew, and proceeded, for his own singular profit, to act accordingly. The American suburbs invade Mesopotamia--as the Russian punchline has it, "Gusary, molchat!".

Yeah, what Gene and Hoppy said...hehe ! Mr Zbrush has his eye on the green car as well, I think the rubber-band must have broken...in OZ we used to have a great trolley/tram system as well, but our genius (?) politicians scrapped it...DOH ! It's enough to make anyone wanna jump/drive off a bridge, just like a Wall Street crash, when they jumped out of windows ! Good one Von Robo Los Hobo ! ~Cheers~
