Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Slip and fall? No moss is growing on these rocks nor algae to make slime.

No probably not, but really looks like a heap of fun. Neat composition & I like the contrasty look.

Man, that looks like fun.

LOL @ title... Yip - that is boys... Hope the little bugger didn't slip and fall! After raising three of them I came to the conclusion that they have way more than one guardian angle!!! Great shot Bill.... :)

Can imagine that it is slippery there. Well done, Clive

Very nice capture!! :)

Great shot. Good perspective on how high the falls are. If memory serves, Mom said, "You get down from there!!" reply, "OK", as he climbed to the next level Don't recall how he got down but do remember his Mom was having a serious discussion with him on the properties of river rocks with slime, and Newton's Law of Gravity. Indeed! We will be slightly mental when younger and do the silliest things! Never thinking of ANY danger at ALL!. Great picture, mate. Rob.

Funny title for an amazingly beautiful shot, splendid how the boy,the water and this light match so well to build the perfect atmosphere and mood, full of life!!:-)

Wonderful photo, despite the inherent danger!

You ahve captured all the fun and excitement of being young and turned loose. The deep shadows with the strong sun bringing slivery water into this is just outstanding. A young boy's idea of danger is nowhere to be found when they are focused on having fun.

I hope not; my son would be right there, every chance he got!! Great shot!!

Super contrasts!!! I have 4 boys and none of them have managed to understand the consequences of their actions or the dangers that they put themselves in!!! Lovely photo!
goodoleboy
Stellar contrast makes for a stark and stunning capture of the cascading falls and intrepid young man running across hoping to make it to the other side. Superlatively done, Bill!
