Description
Taken in the forrested hills near a village called Tadapani at an altitude of about 3000 metres on the way toward Annapurna base camp in the Nepalise Himalayas. Machhapuchhre (prononced - Match-a-poo-tray) is 6993 metres and in the centre of the photo and is a sacred mountain to the Nepalise and is totally illegal to climb. As far as i know nobody has ever climbed it, illegally or not. To the left of Machhapuchhre is Gandharba Chuli and far left Gangapurna. Beyond Machhapuchhre to the right are the Mardi Himals.
Many regards... Shaun.

It's so magnificent--I'm sort of glad there is a mountain that isn't covered with oxygen bottles;-)
