Description

A different colored version of this is my new websites home page. This is with a series of filters applied for a more contempary look. I am enjoying the effect even if it is a bit trendy. My patrons pretty much still like the "real" colors of life. You might laugh if you saw this bed being built. It is the one light, my fav orange norman Fresnal, the back wall is wall board velcroed to 3 uprights, the bed is a sheet of plywood, 3 quarter inch cut down to 4 feet by 6ish feet. It sits on two cross boards, when you notch out the centre half way through each to create an x shape. The window is a home made frame clamped in place with a Banfroto magic arm at the top and two hand clamps holding the frame to the bed board. The bed is some really brightly patterned flower pillows (reason why we hide them) and a quilt for shape. The wall and bed sheet is one loooonnnggg piece of satin. It is clamped above the bed for the wall then is brought back over the bed to hide the lumps. The curtain is two table cloth lace coverings clamped to a rod, then pulled to the side. Hope this is not a little like pulling back the curtain to a magic trick. I am mostly smoke and mirrors in my sets.

This image has stark contrasts between the background ans shadows on my BlackBerry. They really look great with that effect.

I like the strong shadows but she seems to get lost in the light.

One of the best things about your work is that it is always creative... You have a gift for capturing the scene that is in your mind... I like the effect that you applied to this one... Excellent as always... Happy Holidays to all...

As long as the smoke and mirrors can produce results like this- I am happy to view and get in on the secrets! Very educational and excellent visual therapy! ;)
