Hello, I'm an American artist with art images uploaded on Renderosity. I'm not really much of a photographer. However, I have lived on four different continents and managed to capture a few interesting photos (I currently live in Korea). As for digital rendering, I was once tasked to develop some digital training videos for work. At the time, I knew nothing about 3D rendering. I purchased a copy of Poser4 and used the forums on RENDEROSITY to learn the rest. Now I use DAZ Studio to make renders for my own amusement, but I have not forgotten where I started. Most of what I render is based on "Star Wars" and my interest in a game called "Warhammer 40,000". It's a great game with a very well developed gothic-military-sci-fi setting. Whenever possible, I upload images of my art to share with others for whatever pleasure it may bring. I hope all of you enjoy my gallery and the works yet to come...

Here's what I used: Boots & Trousers: German Uniform sold by BATLAB on Renderosity M3 & M3 Tunic: from DAZ3D Hat, buckle, & rank: from Scifi 3d Hallway: made by Davorama (not sure)? I made the uniform seams from a bump map I drew myself. Textures are from various sources that came close to matching. Some items are simply colored with no texture map. I downloaded the Scifi 3d items as 3ds objects into poser4. In poser4, I modified the items extensively. Then I imported them into DAZ Studio and rescaled them to fit M3.

Very nice use of materials! As for the boots, I recall them in the movies being really black with spit-shine... But I could be wrong, I haven't watched them in a while. You could try a different reflection map, like a simple black square with a full or semi circle in white or something. Nice texture to the tunic, very nice job with the bumps on that!

Good render! We don't see enough Imperial Navy Officers around :) And for the longest time, I was wondering where to find a Naval Officer hat. Slap me silly, I didn't realize it was from sci-fi 3d. I must've missed it when I went looking for other models. Only thing is the left pant leg is poking through the uniform a tad there, its very minor though, I didn't even notice it until I took a closer look. Nice texturing on the M3 tunic, looks almost like the real thing!
