Description

My friend Elcet has been doing test images of Olivia G2 which has led me to take another look at her. I'm not a 100% happy with the way this composite came out, but it's really only for test purposes. To me, poser figures are just like people in that they have a "best side" that is more endearing to the camera. I don't feel that Olivia commands a straight-on, full face shot (many poser figures don't). When her head is turned or tilted, the eyes look a little more alive in the final render. I personally feel that the G2 females are best for close up shots that that full body shots expose some of their ackwardness (which is also not uncommon for poser figures). In looking over her content, I'm still amazed that Smith Micro (and its various predecessors) didn't supply the G2 line with more dynamic clothing and hair. Oh well, maybe I'll do some more tests with her.

First I would like to thank heartily my friend Jeremy for the many nice experiments he is doing here. This is an excellent way to help everybody in the Poser/Daz (and also Vue or Carrara which accept Poser people) community to progress and get the best of great (but not yet perfect) figures. His comments about his experiences but also his expertise in Poser is very precious to all of us. This is here a very beautiful view of Olivia, but also which emphasises on a week point of this cute and so touching model: her not so good nostrils. Aside that point, Olivia has also not very beautiful arms (same for Miki 1 and 2). But all well weighted, she is an enchanting model, whose charm is, first, to be (like Sydney, Miki 1 and 2) a NON standard figure. In fact, we humans are all non-standard. I will say here that really I like Olivia, in spite of what I have said above. Therefore it is great that now everybody can make the choice of various models and not to repeat stupidly the same clones in our renders. Olivia has a realistic size for most of the women of today (167cm, 11cm less i.e. more than 4 inches than Victoria 3 and 4). She has beautiful features, beautiful legs and chest, she is a TRUE Black woman, she can be easily customized inside Poser thanks to the custom-made Face Room which is given for free at Content Paradise, and finally the bundle (ready-to-use with hair, clothes, hires textures and basic morphs) is very affordable. My best wishes is that more content will be produced either for Olivia G2 herself, or common to other G2 women, because most of the hair, clothes and accessories created for Sydney and Jessi G2 can fit Olivia and the contrary is true also. And first of all, who will create for her true wolly hair? I have tried to use Kelvins one, it works with some Photohsop darkening of the skull cap, but is far from perfect. Best congrats, Jeremy, and waiting for your next beautiful experiment!
