Description
Another image from my opera series. This one is a scene of Mozart's "La clemenza di Tito".
For personal and political reasons, Vitellia has persuaded Sextus, who is madly in love with her, to murder the Roman emperor Titus. The attempt fails, Sextus is caught and sentenced to death without telling anybody that Vitellia has been the mastermind in the conspiracy.
Now she feels pangs of remorse and decides to confess to save his life.
In her aria "Veggo la morte ver me avanzar" (I see death approaching me) she bids farewell to life.
(The opera has a happy ending, though: Titus pardons everybody.)
Good old V3 with a freebie texture, the mediterranean outfit and Lykia hair. Rendered in Poser 7, some postwork on light and shadows.
