Description
Taken near a village called Hyangja in the valleys of the Annapurna reserve in Nepal. One of the largest ethnic tribal groups in the mountains of Nepal is the Gurung peoples. Most are simple farming people who live a very simple existence in amongst the forrested hills of Nepal. They keep water buffalo, chickens, goats for meat and milk and grow all of their own crops for food and cook using wood buring stoves. Travelling through these areas gives a snapshot of life that really is from a bygone era. All of the young children know how to say ''Sweets ?, chocolate ?'' in English and run up to you with their little hands outstretched when they see you coming.
Kind regards... Shaun.

Interesting portrait.

It looks chilly--little kids everywhere get those "twin fangs of snot" as my mother used to joke; she's a cutie though! The sweater looks suspiciously Irish--clothes seem to migrate around the world. A friend of mine was in New Guinea and saw a guy in a Knicks jersey--the owner had no idea what the team was, he just liked the fabric!
