Description
Just started the final book of the Dragonlance Legends trilogy, Test of the Twins, the sixth Dragonlance book I have re-read this year.
"Goldmoon, strong child of a warrior race, kicked backwards at the cleric holding her, her foot aiming for his knee. Her skillful kick caught her opponent offguard and crushed his kneecap. The instant the cleric eased his grip on her, Goldmoon whirled around and struck him with her staff. She was amazed to see the cleric slump to the ground, seemingly felled by a blow even the mighty Caramon might have envied. She looked at her staff in astonishment, the staff that now glowed a bright blue. But there was no time to wonder - other creatures surrounded her. She swung her glistening staff in a wide arc, holding them at bay. But for how long?"

This is Goldmoon, barbarian plainswoman and daughter of the Chieftain of the Que-shu tribe. She is in love with Riverwind, poor son of a family exiled from her tribe for believing in the Old Gods. In order to marry Goldmoon, something her father was against, Riverwind was sent on an impossible quest by the Chieftain, a quest to find an object of holy power that would prove the existence of the Old Gods. Riverwind returned half dead with a seemingly innocent looking staff he claimed was given to him by a Goddess. Goldmoon bears this staff and discovers its remarkable powers as the story progresses.
Goldmoon is beautiful, yet strong, proud and noble, used to both the harsh life of the plains and the comforts of being Cheiftains daughter. She has silvery blonde hair and wears leathers and furs. I hope you like my version of her!
