Description
I really liked traveling through South Dakota. The wide open spaces and unlimited horizon made me feel like I could breath again. Mile after mile with no signs of "civilization" except for the hard surface of I-90. The Badlands were very impressive; breathtaking, scary, beautiful, and wonderous. It's amazing what the effects of wind and water can do to a landscape. Your sense of scale gets totally destroyed; distance, height, and time all get distorted and blend into each other.
