ditto koosie...and it has sadness to it too, and yet a quiet dignity. You do these interplays of surfaces so subtly, and the stark lines of the fence give wonderful counterpoint. There's a monumentality to some of these intimate captures, I think because of the integrity of their shapes (each has its own dignity). But they're intimate all the same. This is one of those shots that shows your subtlety & deftness all at once. And the silhouetted figure in dark is very poignant. Delicate & quiet & touching (and I love those gentle sepias, lord).

Wonderful. How do you find all these interesting scenes? I know the answer...just look around :) I see the repeated pattern within the fence and this leads me to think about the daily sameness...the routine of the elderly and often lonely person in an urban setting making that daily walk to the grocery or the doctor's office... Bill

When I lived in an older neighborhood, this was a common sight. Always the old ladies went to church every morning, you could tell time by them. A beautiful capture, a poignant feel to it.

WOW! This is profound and stirring on so many levels. The title is vaguely cryptic, not in that it's hard to understand, but in that it conveys so much more when considered in conjunction with the image itself. There's a sense of calmness here, of dignity and your presentation serves that dignity perfectly!
