Description

The Ruler caste Scourge climbed out of the wrecked escape pod. His anger was building to explosive levels. The rocks clattered into the ditch plowed by the escape pod's fiery descent from orbit. It was cold. Perhaps fifteen degrees below zero centigrade. Fuel from the pod flamed in a small pool with a crackle of black smoke, from the bottom of the ditch. He could sense the warm bodies of prey near-by. He could smell their life-force burning bright with the promise of feeding his power. He took a deep breath and howled in anger for all his allies who died in orbit. He focused on the lights in the distance. A human town waited him. It'd be hours before anyone make it to the crash-site. He could feel the low level of technology and wire transformers at the town. Just on the horizon, he could feel higher. He saw what looked like a volcano. He felt something like the Four Sister there among much lower technology. His eyes narrowed, as he measured the feel of it. No awareness of him. He concentrated and turned transparent as air. He began to run toward those he would feed on with eagerness. He would feed well and then be strong enough to kill any of the Four Sisters. He could still kill many humans and maybe take down one or more of that weapon system. He made himself death and rage and went to do as much damage as possible. He would make them all remember the Scourge as the killers of Mankind. --TO BE CONTINUED!--

This is an extraordinary image indeed, with strong emotional impact. The desolate surrounding, the distant town, his pose - very strong. I hope you get help soon.

about the piece: again, really strong composition. and your firelight shows a lot of skill. i'm dubious about the "sensing technology," and i think that you should be more specific. like sensing use of metals or types of energy and deducing level of technology. i think you've really grown as an artist since i've been following your work. about your plight: i'm so sorry. winter is a very difficult time to struggle. but if i'm reading your images right, you have everything from custom textures to props and even creatures you could sell. if you want them to remain specific to your work, i completely understand. but i think you should know you (seem to) have a lot of stuff that could bring you at least a bit of money.
