Hi there.
Last autumn I went mushrooming some times with my daughters. We found some interesting ones - now I will share with you.
I don't know the species but it was a stunning mushroom I think. The lens cover you see is about 5.2mm diameter. So you can imagine the size.

Usually when people say they are going mushrooming here it means something completely different! ;) Nice specimen- If I can offer a suggestion that may add some softer lighting: If you have the means to diffuse the flash a bit, it can soften the shadows and more globally illuminate the subject. I have been using a Gary Fong light diffuser on my flash with some really nice results- but there are many out there for both external and included flashes. This can work in low light or night time captures well too.
