My real name is Markus. I live in Germany in a little town between Chemnitz an Plauen - i don't think somebody knows ;-).
Last year I buy me a Nikon D40 and now I be able to take much more pictures as before. The macros I shared are all freehand-shots.

Usually when people say they are going mushrooming here it means something completely different! ;) Nice specimen- If I can offer a suggestion that may add some softer lighting: If you have the means to diffuse the flash a bit, it can soften the shadows and more globally illuminate the subject. I have been using a Gary Fong light diffuser on my flash with some really nice results- but there are many out there for both external and included flashes. This can work in low light or night time captures well too.
