well, I said I wanted to see color: Here's color! How did I miss these? this does have things in common with marble (as tim says) but I can also see the human form here, head bent over as if crawling back into a womb-like space. I can see the pencil strokes, but I can also see the water-color effects: the washes and bleeds; and you really do get a rich overlap of colors. (They're in different saturations...you have 'color areas', which go from lighter to darker, or less intense to more intense). Much abstract painting here, as well as human representation. I think the colors are very powerful. Another fav.
