Description
This is another shot I had taken on the same day as the photo below, it is very cold here right now and I needed a summer like image. My daughter is performing in her Christmas Orchestra tonight, so I will try to come back after that and catch up with everyone. Have a super night!

superb detail on the wings.it has not been terribly cold here yet but the wind has blown for 4 days already up to 40mph so the wind chill is a problem

you captured the bee here with this soft-focus on its body, and then its neck like it's a big woolly scarf! And the wings look like some kind of burnt wax paper! Fascinating capture & details. But then it's crawling out of some deep flower cavern, with petals sticking up like some kind of Medieval maze. Macros of nature are always interesting, but at their best they make nature look totally new: That's what you did here. I just know I never see flowers like this, and in this view it's a place I'm glad I'm not hanging out—maybe that's why the bee is on its way to Detroit! Fascinating capture and fun and bursting with those violets & reds. And wherever he got that scarf, I'd like to know if it's on sale... (btw, hope your daughter's performance went well! always a big deal to perform with an orchestra...)
