Description
Although bell ringers for the Salvation Army are usually associated with the U.S. holiday season, human need isn't seasonal. Poverty exists year around, even in the USA. When the Salvation Army was my employer, I encountered homeless people on a daily basis, and some of those people were children. One time, I delivered beds to a single mother with 3 children. If the Salvation Army hadn't provided the beds, then the woman and her children wouldn't have had beds to sleep on. The Salvation Army lives up to its motto: "Heart to God. Hand to Man."
