To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

I have been in the forest of aspens and the forest of oaks but never seen any lovely fairies. The pines have brushed me gracefully as I moved. I have looked out onto meadows and lakes and streams where deer and moose browsed. Now I stay on the roads with the forest beside me. Have I forfeited an opportunity for a magical encounter?

Well, I know it's not PC here but I have no feeling for fairies, so I'm looking at this without the wings on her and find it that way more psychological, more, um inner vision. What I really like is the placement of the elements, the tone & tint, and the balance of the trees and figure especially. Very creative. PS I'm saving Feb. to re-read the books, a jewel of a present in the dark month.

Well for a start I am enchanted at how you have given her an ethereal quality- like a perfect forest sprite that you might encounter in a walk in the woods and then wonder if she was really there or was it just something in your minds eye? She blends harmouniously into her home, barely existing in the mists of time and space. As I struggle with my next picture this one gives me faith in possibilities.
