G'day,
and thank you for the chance to introduce myself......
okay, that sounds waaaay too stuffy.... how about this then...... I was raised on Canadian Army Bases which limited the type of grand exposure that my peers would have enjoyed... (In High School, every one of my City Friends would spend Monday mornings talking about Saturday Night Live.... I had no idea what an Ackroyd or a Belushi was....). but you learn.......
I am mostly self taught as no respectable art school would have anything to do with me.
I make movies, live and animated, am one half of a Jazz Duo (called Three Men With Mono.... I play with another animator, the astounding Richard Reeves... and yeah we know, a duo is less than 3 men... but hey....Grand Funk Railroad isn't a Railroad, Iron Butterfly isn't an insect.... and Pink Floyd is well...)
I work in digital photography, Poser (which rules), Bryce, Deluxe Paint 4 (yes I still have working Amiga's), and anything that functions for me...and I'm developing a new animation technique for using with inexpensive digital cameras.
I am currently living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with 2 robot dogs and my dreams....
and unless you've made other plans, have a great day!

and let slip the Dogs of War" "Towards the end of The Lounge Wars, both sides were strapped for experienced fighters, often hiring from border worlds or outlying lounges. Such was my case, I'm from a planet called Earth.... that's Sol 3 in the Mutters Spiral. I had been captaining my own ship for a few years when the awful truth of this war came to light. What was originally thought to be a war of ideaologies turned out to be an opportunity for people to make money, betting on the outcome of the battles. The Leaders themselves, Politicians, Generals, Admirals, the whole work used the war as some sort of huge computer game....... Leaders on both sides....... people dying for centuries just so a few people could get rich while a few more got their jollies twiddling their joysticks. When we found out.... we were too far into the war to do anything about it... the hates and horrors had become too much. Through negotiations, secret talks done Sub Rosa, both sides decided to stick it to the leaders and just have it out........ one last battle to get it out of our system. When the Leaders found out, they hurridely tried to stop us.....ordering both sides back to bases...... both sides had the same response..... in unison we shouted 'Go To Hell'! And so both fleets headed to neutral territory, the Stardust Expanse. I commanded a flotilla of D-noes, one of many. Our fleet had every ship flying, D-noes, Bug-C's, Troopships, like Titanic, the whole fleet, led by the Mighty Voice, C-Leen D-Ohn. Opposing us was a fleet of even size and determination, led by their flagship, the Attack Platform, the Bah-B Bit-Mahn. We stood across from each other, waiting for one or the other side to make a move, all the while, the leaders of both fleets implored the ships to turn around and come home. I cut the incoming and sent out a signal to all the ships, on both sides of the line. "To the Ships of Vay-Gas, I thank you for your dedication and determination in this struggle, you bravery will be written and sung about for generations. To the Ships of Reen-Oh, I offer you our respect and honour as an enemy of courage and resilience. Today, we fly into history, ending for good and all this conflict, this war, this game that we have been played on...... to both fleets..... Good Hunting!" On that, both fleets moved to battle, the final battle, win or lose, we must battle...... to finish it all." Earthian Captain Call'n Wharda Donalach, Captain of the Thunderhead The Lounge Wars,Chapter 264, Knowing When to Fold Should all good things come to an end? Should the Lounge Wars rest for a bit, or are there those that want more of the wars? come to the lounge and have a sit for a while and we'll talk about it... comments welcome, please enjoy!
