Description

I started with this pic in Vue 6 inf, but there the rendertime in WIP-status (1 terrain, 2 penguins size 800 x 600 in superior) was 7 and a half hour - and I have a quad! Ok, this translucency looks nice but it seemed to bring my PC to it's knees. So my penguin story ended just before it really begun, but then I got my upgrade. Just for fun I loaded the file again and wanted to test how Vue 7 could handle these subsurface scattering materials. The result was more than stunning: The same WIP in Vue 7 needed only 22 minutes to render - this I call improvement! Now I could finish my picture, add a second terrain and a further pingu. Rendertime in 1024 x 768 with superior quality: 1h, 10 min. Vue 7 rocks !!!
