Description

This upload is to request prayers for my Grandmother, Clara Josephine, who is waiting for the right moment to leave this world. On Friday morning she suffered a massive stroke with hemorrhaging and isn't expected to recover. She would have been 93 in March so I think this will be a peaceful & welcome passing for her. It is possible she is waiting for all of us to gather to say our goodbyes. How our lives unfold is to me very much like this rose. It can be beautiful from all angles, even with a bruise or tear in the edge. We don't know for certain what is on the inside but should fully expect that it is also full of lovely surprises if you are patient enough to watch & wait for them. This photo was directly from my camera. No touch up necessary except slight sharpening, framing and of course resizing. Thank you so much for dropping in and any prayers offered up. God Bless, Jodie

Beautiful picture to go with wonderful memories of a life well lived. And how fortunate we have that hope through a Risen Savior who promises that, sometime in the future, we can once again be united with the loved ones who've gone ahead of us. I'll be praying that the Lord gives comfort to your family is this time of parting.

Jodie, if she lives at this moment I am certain she will feel within her heart the prayers of others for her peaceful passing. Wonderful it is that she is ready to go...sad it is how death affects the rest of us. Yet, perhaps joy of a special sort, with a tear in the eye, knowing her life is done and now she will be in eternal peace...that is how I felt when my mother left this earth and this may well suit Clara and you and the family. The beautiful rose is quite fitting. I once photographed a lovely blue butterfly, only later in viewing to see the tear in one wing. All the while watching the creature flit and fly from flower to flower, no defect was seen but only its life and beauty. God Bless and Certain prayers. Tom.
